1/2 C powdered sugar
1/2 C granulated sugar
1/2 C butter, softened
1/2 C vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
2 1/2 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1. Cream sugars, butter, oil, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat.
2. Mix dry ingredients and gradually add to cream mixture.
3. Roll into balls. Flatten with glass with sugar on it.
4. Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes. Cool. Frost if desired.
Makes 2 dozen.
